Background
Farming has been a way of life for the Fyk family for generations. Since 1904, when Don’s ancestors first arrived in Canada, they have cultivated the land, growing canola, wheat, oats, and buckwheat. Today, Don continues this legacy in the Municipality of Ethelbert, located on Treaty 2 Territory, the traditional land of the Anishinaabe (Chippewa and Cree).
History
Fyk Soba Inc. was incorporated in Manitoba by Don and Ben Fyk during 2009. Fyk Soba Inc. specializes in the production of premium buckwheat used in the creation of Japanese Soba noodles.
